Ice Update: LAND Rinks, Foot Traffic, & Ice Fishing Jan 28/23

Oh Summerside! We have some AWESOME news! We hope you’re excited!

Our wonderful parks team has been able to prepare our LAND-based rinks (the Jellybean and the ODR) and they are ready for skating!! As well as, the lake has re-opened for FOOT TRAFFIC & ICE FISHING ONLY – unfortunately no LAKE skating at this time.

A friendly reminder that hockey sticks or pucks are NOT PERMITTED on the Jellybean rink or Pleasure rink/loop.

Lake Based Pleasure/Loop ❌

Lake Hockey Rink 1, 2, & 3 ❌

Lake Perimeter Loop ❌

During any days where temperatures are above 0 degrees and our ice surfaces have the potential to get damaged due to warmer weather, restrictions could be in place on rink use to keep our surfaces in the best condition possible. The SSRA reserves the right to close rinks on short notice if deemed ice surfaces are not safe.
