ICE UPDATE: ICE SURFACES RE-OPENED – YELLOW FLAG Effective February 5, 2025

Hey Summerside,

With the recent extreme cold weather and heavy snowfall, snow removal has been completed on the ice surfaces, and we’re pleased to announce that the Lake Rinks and Land-Based Jellybean are now reopened! Lake loops remain CLOSED until further notice.

However, please be aware that ice conditions may vary, and some cracks have been observed on the ice surfaces following snow removal. We urge everyone to stay cautious and mindful of these areas while enjoying the facilities.

Our flags are currently YELLOW, indicating a potential elevated risk when using the lake. While the lake remains open, we strongly encourage everyone to check the SSRA website before heading out for the latest updates on conditions. It’s essential to exercise caution and discretion both before and during your time on the ice.
